Susan E. Cullen, PH.D.

Dr. Cullen led a research group for 18 years, and has 10 years of IP management experience that includes directing a licensing office and participation in redesign of IP practices at Monsanto/Pharmacia. Since 2000, she has worked as a consultant in IP analysis, and aims to help make people and companies successful through effective IP management. She develops methodology for extracting competitive and technical intelligence from IP, gives advanced training to users of Thomson Reuters analytical tools, and provides customized consulting for clients of Thomson Reuters. Her consulting clients include over 80 companies in industries as diverse as semiconductors, oil drilling, heavy machinery and automotive, energy, consumer goods, foods, optical equipment, medical devices, printing, and digital security.
Dr. Cullen has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a B.S. in Chemistry, and is a registered U.S. patent agent. She is also an Adjunct Full Professor at Washington University in St. Louis.
Laura Gaze

Laura Gaze has nearly a decade of intellectual property experience with Thomson Reuters in marketing (formerly MicroPatent and Master Data Center – MDC). She has held various customer-facing roles within her department, interfacing with industry leaders at conferences and through user group meetings. Currently Laura oversees the Thought Leadership initiatives for the IP Solutions business, concentrating on positioning the IP group in the marketplace and increasing awareness for intellectual property as a critical business strategy.
Laura has her undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA, USA, and graduate classes from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Hartford, CT, USA. She is a member of INTA, LES, PIUG, the PRSA, and the DMA.
Adam Kenny

With more than 20 years of experience in intellectual property law, Adam Kenney has worked in nearly every aspect of this dynamic field. His broad range of practical experience affords him a unique ability to identify needs and architect holistic intellectual property management solutions.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Adam founded Mind’s Eye Development, a consulting group focused on the needs of intellectual property law firms. For nearly a decade, this group served some of the nation’s top IP firms and produced a number of popular software titles. Mind’s Eye Development was acquired by Thomson IP Management Services in 2006.
Adam now serves as the Product Manager for client-facing products, working closely with clients and colleagues to shape the future of our IP management offerings across all areas of an organization’s IP work flow and through all aspects of the IP lifecycle.
Ric Snead

Ric Snead is a Patent Agent and Product Specialist with Thomson Reuters IP Solutions. He specializes in helping companies and law firms with tools and processes for deriving value from intellectual assets. He is part of a team that provides technical and subject matter expertise specific to intellectual property research and analysis. To this group, Ric brings his background as a U.S. Patent Agent and 18 years in the online industry as an expert in patent and trademark information. He is a biochemist with patent liaison and research and development experience. Prior employment includes National Institutes of Health, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Cetus Corporation and the law firm of Townsend and Townsend and Crew. Ric has an M.S. from Clemson University.
Bob Stembridge

Bob Stembridge is one of the expert faces of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters, speaking at many industry meetings and acting as the liaison between Thomson Reuters and industry intellectual property groups. As a member of ACS, CILIP and PIUG, Secretary of CEPIUG, and current Chair of PATMG, and with several decades of patent-related experience, Bob brings rich and deep expertise to the Thomson Reuters team.
Bob graduated from University of Sussex, UK, with an honors degree in Chemistry. He joined Derwent (one of the founding components of the Scientific business of Thomson Reuters) in 1980 and has held various roles in editorial, marketing, sales and product development over the years. He has also held positions as Senior Information Analyst specializing in patent analytics at British Petroleum and European Sales Liaison with Dialog. He is currently Customer Relations Manager for Thomson Reuters with responsibility for interfacing with customer user groups for the organization. He was elected to the CSA Trust Board of Trustees in February 2007.
